(too many people to mention). Apparently Chris Phillips at York University in
Canada had this problem back in June and posted a "SHORT SUMMARY" that listed a
couple of promising techniques to try (basically, I have to bring everything
down and take the drive unit out of its housing, etc.). Given that I am "all
thumbs" when it comes to this kind of stuff, I think I'm going to print out the
suggestions and amble on over to my friendly neighborhood Sun Hardware FE, who
is not only a friend but he lives only a half-mile down the road ... :-)
