Help need with snmpd

I need some assistance with Solaris and snmpd. I changed the
/etc/snmp/conf/snmpd.conf file to be configured with my system specific name
and my public community identification.
What are the steps required by Solaris8 and 2.6 to reread the snmpd.conf
file and re-initialize the snmpd daemon. Also I found very little
documentation on this process or how to track snmp or snmp application. Any
links, docs, howtos, etc would be appreciated.
