v240 upgrade path/what is JP4 for?

I ran prtconf -vp on a number of my machines and the part number returned for the motherbaord is the FRU rather than the actual part number. All my machines have 375-3149 or 375-3150. In theory the system board part number is really 375-3148? The cpu psrinfo reports as 1002 MHz. How easy is to to add a second CPU to these machinese? Will the FRU update? Any way to check the part number of the system board without opening the hosts?

btw - what is JP4 for?
