E450 Solaris 8 - Date Change Issue Currently 1968?

All, I have a SUN E450 running Solaris 8. Its date today changed to
1968, I checked ntp and also attempted to change the date but when I do
it resets back to 1968? Any ideas? Im thinking the battery is gone?
