SUMMARY: relaying denied

thanks grant.
after reading what sendmail says about relaying
denied, it occurred to me that it may be a dns lookup
problem. so i added the sending hostname to the
/etc/hosts file on the mailserver. in addition, i
added the sending servers' domain to the relay-domains
file on the mailhost and -HUP'd sendmail.
works perfectly. what a great learning experience.
