metainit: there are no existing databases

Hi,

I just tried

/sbin/metainit d7 -f 1 1 c1t0d0s7

but received the error message

"there are no existing databases"

Unfortunately, I didn't find anything about this
in the Solaris Volume Manager manual. How can I
create this database?
