snmpdx errors

Hello all,

I have quite a collection of Linux and Solaris servers that are all
being polled by MRTG. I just added 2 Sun servers: A Sun Fire 880 and a
Netra T-1. I modified /etc/snmp/conf/blah blah blah like usual for the
correct community strings I use. The Fire 880 polls just great but the
Netra absolutely refuses. I continually get the following message in
/var/adm/messages:

Feb 4 14:30:03 ns2 /usr/lib/snmp/snmpdx: [ID 702911 daemon.error]
agent_process(): unauthorized manager (nn.nn.nn.nn)
Feb 4 14:30:03 ns2 /usr/lib/snmp/snmpdx: [ID 702911 daemon.error]
local pdu process error
Feb 4 14:30:03 ns2 /usr/lib/snmp/snmpdx: [ID 702911 daemon.error]
session_send_loopback_request() failed

Both servers are Solaris 9 with the identical 9_Recommended patches
installed..... The error I get from the Linux poller is:

SNMP Error:
Received SNMP response with error code
error status: noSuchName

Then:

SNMP Error:
no response received

from then on out.

I've even gone so far as to delete all files in my Netra's
/etc/snmp/conf dir and scp over all of the files from the Fire box...
after reloading snmpdx - same thing!

The really strange part.... I have 2 Netra T-1's and a Fire 880....
all identically installed (as far as Solaris is concerned....) and this
one Netra is just being a real pain!

The configs are now back to installed defaults.... and I can poll the
other 2 using public just fine.... but not this one POS.....

Please... ideas would make my day! The graphs that are generated are
used for capacity planning for our DNS's/POP/SMTP/Backbone stuff.....

Thanks in advance....
