Solaris woes

I have a SunBlade 150 running Solaris 5.8 and I can't get it to boot up.
It starts to boot up, hangs for a while, prints a warning with a
timeout and a reset, dumps a lot of garbage to
the screen, and then the cycle starts all over again.
I can't get it to recognize the CDROM so I can't boot from CD. I've
tried
reset-all and set-defaults at the OK prompt. Any advice would be
appreciated.
