SUMMARY: Using v210 Flash archive image on v240 .

the quick response.
I was able to use it without any problem. Din't even
have to redo device links.
FYI: I am using jumpstart server only to boot system
without a CDROM. Use default Jumpstart profiles.
Specify installation method as FlashArchive in menu.
Need to
learn customizing jumpstart profiles.
Here are the responses:
Should be OK although you will need to use a different
profile;
the v210 uses c1 as the internal controller vs c0 for
the v240.

Well consider this
Created Solaris 8 2/04 image on an Ultra10.
patched
Loaded RSC software
Loaded other pkg'es such as CTEact etc.
(in other words full install of everything you MAY
wish to install
on)
flash image, then converted to jumpstart server after
image was made.
Installed this image on multiple:
V880
V890
V240
E280R
V440
Ultra60
Created a new image on Ultra 60
Patched, ditto s/ware pkg'es again
Did same mix of install.
On Sol 10
Ultra 10 install, patches & pkges:
Installed on 280R
V240
V440
V480
