Solaris x86 on Compaq 6400R

I'm trying to install Solaris 8 X86 on a 2-way Compaq 6400R using
interactive install,
but installation aborts just after install_begin script is finished.
The error message on the console is: "Caught signall 11, exiting"
And the main problem is that I can not track down the program wich halts.
Has anyone seen this?
