reflash a Sun-Qlogic card w/ Qlogic firmware?

I've heard a few times that the Sun-branded Qlogic cards are identical to
the Qlogic branded cards, and that the firmware can be re-flashed from the
Sun version to the Qlogic version. If this is so, does anyone have examples
of how to do this? I've tried some things along the lines of:
# ./qla2x00flash /devices/pci at 9,600000/SUNW,qlc at 1:devctl ifp2300.prom
which combines the readme.txt instructions provided with the fcode, and the
device name that Solaris assigns the card when the Sun drivers see it. I've
seen an example of how to flash it the *other* way, using luxadm
qlgc_s_download; should I be using a version of that command instead?
