NFS Server Clustering

not even be appropriate for the list; my apologies in advance - I haven't
made an exhaustive search of the archives.
I am thinking of moving from two independent hardware raid (JBODS) arrays
connected to two independent fileservers to an FC SAN with the two servers
participating in a "cluster", with the general goal of providing fail-over
between the two. I don't want to give up having two servers available in
order to help balance the load a bit, but I would like both to be able to
take over the "full" load of the other if one fails.
I'm running Solaris8, and I'm looking at Legato Cluster
Server and Veritas HA at this point. These machines provide some other
small services, which I've already made redundant in other ways. They are
principally file (home directory) servers. Therefore I need to be able to
address fail over without having duplicate (concurrent) copies of the
data. Ideally when one server stops responding to a heartbeat, the other
takes over the filesystems/volumes/etc. managed by the dead server, and
begins sharing them. Is there a better product than these? What
experience has anyone had with these two for nfs (non read-only) failover?
Please respond direclty and I'll summarize.
Thanks!
Scott
