SUMMARY: Jumpstart install doesn't boot Solaris 7

2007-12-24 19:38:00

Problem restatement:

I'm trying to use Solaris 7 (the SPARC Platform Edition 11/99) to do a
Jumpstart install in order to repartition a Sun Ultra-10. The system won't
boot ("Boot load failed. The file just loaded does not appear to be
executable").

The problem turned out to be a flaky disk on one system. Other Ultra-10s
repartitioned, installed and booted.
