If you want to boot your Sun off CD-ROM, you must buy a Sun CD-ROM

player.

Kevin Sheehan of Sun sez:

"Yes, you *can* use other drives with the Sun (NEC, Phillips, Hitachi come

to mind) for HSFS access, but you *cannot* use them for boot/loading - it

requires a firmware change to deal with 512 byte requests."
