attach several different attachments to a single mail msg

Using uuencode to attach a single attachment to a mail message is not a
problem.
However, I want to "attach several different attachments to a single mail
message.
I've searched the mailing list archives, but couldn't find anything
concerning a single mail message with multiple attachments.
Does anyone have a command-line solution or relatively easy script that can
accomplish this?
