Dear Sun gurus,

I dont know if this is relevant or not in this posting but anyway...

if i have a *.wav file and i want to convert it to an audio file ( *.au) so
that i can hear it in the Sun workstation but i don't know how to do this.

i tried using the audioconvert -p command, but i got this error message:

"a8610cu1:a8610> audioconvert -p rva-211.au -f cd
rva-211.au: Permission denied
audioconvert: cannot rewrite in place"

Please tell me the correct syntax to type and also how do i play this file
in solaris?..under what application etc.
